LUFKIN, [TX]—A Fuller Springs man put on probation in July for cooking methamphetamine in his mother's home was arrested again Wednesday after a surprise visit by Angelina County authorities. Narcotics investigators arrived at the home of Mathew Havard's mother after receiving a call from officers with Angelina County Adult Probation. Havard, who was sentenced to five years probation for a meth charge in July, failed his last mandatory drug screen last week, testing positive for meth. When a parole supervisor arrived on scene, Havard was in a shed described as his "man cave" along with three others who have Aryan Brotherhood affiliation. View More>>

OXFORD, [MS]—An Attala County man has pleaded guilty to making threats against President Barrack Obama and the University of Mississippi Medical Center. David Williams entered the pleas in U.S. District Court in Greenville Wednesday. According to court documents, Williams called the hospital and became upset with their failure to treat his wife. During the call, he stated he would blow up the hospital, and told the person he would kill President Obama. Williams will be sentenced at a later date. View More>>

SANTA BARBARA, [CA]—A well-known county ad executive told CalCoast News this week he remains uncertain if he will be represented by an attorney upon his September 15th return to a Santa Barbara courthouse to face a variety of felony charges. Jeff Lind, an Orcutt resident, has been charged with conspiracy to commit a crime; attempting to procure a false instrument for record; and, attempted filing of a false document. Another man, Tom Murphy, also of Orcutt, has been charged with filing a false claim against a judge. The men allege in a variety of documents filed with the court that they are "sovereign citizens" and not subject to the court's authority, and have demanded that the Santa B

MARTINEZ, [CA]—A Bay Point heroin dealer has been sentenced to 13 years in prison for fatally stabbing a Pittsburg man he wrongly suspected had stolen Harley-Davidson motorcycle parts from a fellow gang member's garage. Van Quinliven, 47, pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter with use of a knife for attacking 35-year old Ricky Mendoza last year on West Boulevard in Pittsburg. He was sentenced Friday after taking a plea deal with prosecutors. Quinliven is a member of the CoCo Boys, an Aryan street gang with strong prison ties. View More>>

FORT BEND, [TX]—The fugitive who led local authorities on an intense manhunt most of last week has quietly been returned to an Oklahoma jail to await trial on charges he raped and sodomized a seven-year-old girl. Stephens County, Okla., officers took custody of Charles Alan Dyer at the Fort Bend County Jail late Friday, quickly flying the accused child molester and militia member back to Oklahoma. JACKSON, [MI]—Federal jurors this week convicted a Parma man and alleged militia member of illegally possessing firearms and submitting false forms to the Internal Revenue Service. Karl Herrington, 59, was found guilty in a Detroit court of two counts of corruptly endeavoring to obstruct the administration of the IRS, and one count each of filing false tax forms and being a felon in possession of a firearm. He faces a maximum possible sentence of 21 years in prison and a top potential fine of $1.5 million.  View More>>

SEATTLE, [WA]—An Oregon man charged with firebombing a mosque in apparent retaliation for an attempted terrorist attack in Portland had talked of being a "Christian Warrior" who was worried about "secret Muslims". The arrest of Cody Crawford, 24, concludes an investigation that began when a bottle full of gasoline was tossed through a window of the Salman Alfarisi Islamic Center in Corvallis on November 28. ANN ARBOR, [MI]—A man affiliated with the militia movement who was arrested on an ammunition charge last year after he was accused of making threats to President Barack Obama, can't be forcibly medicated by the government, a judge has ruled. John Maurice Stephenson, 64, of Hillsdale, who is awaiting trial on a charge of being a felon in possession of ammunition, suffers from a delusional disorder, Federal court records show. The government is seeking to restore him to competency. Stephenson was arrested in July 2010 after Federal agents said they found ammunition in his home. He was prohibited from having ammunition because of his role in a 1994 killing of William Gleason, who was a body

CORVALLIS, [OR]—Federal law enforcement authorities arrested Cody Seth Crawford, 24, Wednesday night on a Federal hate crimes indictment in what they say was a racially motivated arson at a Corvallis mosque. The arrest comes eight months after the November 28 firebombing of the Salman Alfarisi Islamic Center. Authorities quickly determined the fire, which burned the the office of the mosque, was an arson. View More>>

FORT BEND COUNTY, [TX]—The search for Oklahoma fugitive Charles Dyer ended Thursday morning near Pecan Grove in Fort Bend County. Dyer was walking down the street with no shirt when a Fort Bend County deputy spotted him around 8 a.m., according to the FBI. He initially gave the deputy a fake name, then gave in and surrendered peacefully. Dyer told deputies he hadn't eaten in four days while hiding along the Brazos River. Dyer reportedly belongs to a group called the Oath Keepers. Last year, Dyer was charged with unlawful possession of a grenade launcher.  View More>>
