PORTLAND, [OR]—A months-long drug and weapons investigation into the base of three white supremacist gangs came to a head early Wednesday, August 21, when a police raid in Northeast Portland led to eight arrests. Multnomah County Sheriff's Special Investigations Unit executed a search warrant on two units of a triplex in the 10900-block of East Burnside Road with help from the Portland Police Bureau's Special Emergency Reaction Team and Washington County's Tactical Negotiations Team. MORRIS, [IL]—The FBI is investigating an Aug. 14 incident in which a local mink farm was vandalized. The Grundy County Sheriff's Department said deputies were called around 5 a.m. to 1875 W. Nelson Road in Morris to a farm that raises minks. That morning, the farmer found his 2,000 minks had been released from their cages and some of his property vandalized. Two pickup trucks had paint remover poured on them and his pole barn had been spray-painted with "Liberation is love." The sheriff's office was investigating, but the FBI was called by an outside party and also began investigating. The FBI considers these incidents acts of domestic terrorism. An activist group could be trying to p

NORTH BRANCH, [MI]—Law enforcement officials believe "radical" animal activists are responsible for a vandalism at a North Branch-area meat production facility. The Lapeer County Sheriff's Department said detectives are investigating an incident that occurred early Monday, Aug. 26, at McNees Meats. Officials learned of the incident after an email claiming responsibility was sent to police and media by members claiming allegiance to the Animal Liberation Front, an international group that vows to free animals and cause financial loss to those who they believe exploit animals. Activists claimed to have glued a truck ignition and the lock to the facility's front door. The suspects also spr

DENVER, [CO]—A white supremacist prison gang that put out a fatal hit on Colorado's prison chief earlier this year also has a county judge in its cross-hairs. El Paso County Judge Jonathan Walker, who signed several search warrants against members of the 211 Crew gang related to the investigation of the murder of Department of Corrections Chief Tom Clements, bough a gun, was given special police protection and went into hiding earlier this month. He also took to wearing body armor after SWAT members told him he was a "sitting duck" at his house near a busy road. Police believe paroled 211 Crew member Evan Ebel carried out the hit against Clements, gunning him down at his home in M

READING, [PA]—A bizarre find brought out the bomb squad in an eastern Pennsylvania community. The Reading Police Bomb Squad was called to Tilden Township to investigate a suspicious cylindrical object that a resident found in his driveway Tuesday along with literature promoting a white supremacist group. The object turned out to be a foil container of kitty litter that apparently was used to prevent the leaflet from blowing away. The clear bags with leaflets and similar kitty-litter weights were distributed to about a dozen residences. The literature stated it was from the Traditionalist American Knights of the Ku Klux Klan. No crime was committed because there were no threats in the lit

BIRMINGHAM, [AL]—A disabled Army veteran is accused of trying to arrange a graphic murder for hire through an undercover FBI agent posing as a member of the Ku Klux Klan. The U.S. Attorney's Office has announced the federal charges against Allen Wayne Densen Morgan from Anniston. Morgan believed the intended target of his plot had raped his wife. The FBI agent stated when he first spoke with Morgan last Thursday over the phone, he represented himself to Morgan as a KKK member. The agent claimed Morgan wanted the man "hung from a tree and gutted." The Agent met with Morgan at the Econo Lodge on Elm Street in Oxford on Sunday afternoon to discuss payment. Morgan was placed under arrest afte

SAN ANTONIO, [TX]—A member of the Aryan Brotherhood of Texas pleaded guilty Wednesday to being an accessory after the fact in the murder of a prospective gang member. Shane Gail "Dirty" McNeil, 34, of San Antonio, entered the plea in Houston to the same charge that gang associate Destiny Nicole Feathers, 24, of Jourdanton, admitted to on Aug. 13. According to court documents, Mark Davis Byrd Sr. was killed on order of the ABT because he kept drugs he was supposed to deliver on behalf of the gang. He was kidnapped by Houston-area members of the ABT, tortured, beaten, stabbed repeatedly and shot by each of this three to four attackers. ST. CHARLES, [MO]—A St. Charles County neighborhood is worried that a message from the Ku Klux Klan could soon be bringing violence to their front doors. The pamphlet came along with a rock, tucked inside a plastic bag. Someone tossed them into the yards of dozens of homes. The leader of the group, headquartered in Missouri, told the media that it's simply an advertisement for their neighborhood watch group. He claims they are not a hate group and would not commit hate crimes. But neighbors say they think the messages are simply unacceptable. Some of them are even scared. Police said there's little they can do about these deliveries, protected under free speech. But neighbors say they wa

UPPER ST. CLAIR, [PA]—Residents of the Rolling Meadow subdivision received letters on their front lawns this morning, Sunday, Aug. 25, opposing illegal immigration. Printed at the bottom of each letter is a website address for "the Advanced White Society".  According to its website, the Advanced White Society demands "the union of advanced white people", "the land and territory for the maintenance of our people and our future population", "that ruthless war be waged against those who work to the injury or destruction of the common welfare of the society." Jason Hiecke was identified as the CEO of the Advanced White Society. He accepted the group's ownership of the Upper St. Clair letter

LEITH, [ND]—Craig Cobb lives in a house with no running water and whatever he needs to protect himself, short of someone throwing a Molotov cocktail through the picture window facing the dirt street he lives on in Leith. He knows he's not wanted in Leith, a farming town of 19 people in Grant County. In the past week, people have learned that this thin, gray-haired man who uses a cane, partly for effect, is an internationally known white supremacist who's been buying property in town to create his own white enclave, where Nazi flags fly proudly and like-minded people could take over the community. Cobb, 61, owns 12 other lots and has transferred ownership to four other extreme white supr
