WICHITA, [KS]--Anti-abortion extremists have taken to protesting outside the home of Julie Burkhart, the CEO and founder of the Trust Women Foundation and the Executive Director of the South Wind Women's Center. In the wake of the 42nd anniversary of Supreme Court decision Roe v. Wade, extremists have begun targeting the ED of the Wichita, Kansas clinic - which is located in the same building as the late Dr. Tiller's practice. Yesterday, the quiet of Sunday afternoon was disturbed outside Burkhart's home by extremists holding signs such as "Prepare to Meet Thy God" meant to intimidate Burkhart. BUCHANAN, [MI]--Residents in the Riverside Estates Mobile home park described the scene as complete chaos when they said a man started shooting at them, lit his mobile home on fire, and then shot himself. One witness said it's a miracle that no one else was killed. During the fire, neighbors said thousands of rounds of ammunition were exploding. Michigan State Police are investigating and they said firefighters had trouble putting out the flames because of the ammunition that was going off. Investigators eventually recovered a body. SYRACUSE, [NY]--Fulton County Sheriff Thomas J. Lorey made it clear in a YouTube video that he intends to fight a part of the New York SAFE Act. During a passionate speech to the Oath Keepers, an organization that advocates disobeying orders that they think violate the Constitution, Lorey explained how Fulton County residents should tear up invitations to re-certify their pistol permits. WASHINGTON, [DC]--In response to the rising number of hate groups in the country, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) commissioned an intelligence assessment of the situation in 2009.
