ORCHARD MESA, [CO]--Fliers recruiting for the Ku Klux Klan have resulted in at least one report to local law enforcement in Mesa County. The fliers, distributed with small bags of candy, were reportedly distributed in some Orchard Mesa neighborhoods. Mesa County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Megan Terlecky confirmed that the agency received at least one report of the fliers from the area on Monday. The advertisement is titled “Black Lives Matter” but goes on to berate black people and claims they are killing white people and are “thugs breaking the law.” It goes on to say “Join the Ku Klux Klan” and lists reasons to join, including, “We are Christian based and uphold the Bible

DELAFIELD, [WI]--U.S. marshals on July 24 arrested Delafield resident James Stuart Jr. for failure to appear at his scheduled probation revocation hearing in federal court, an agency spokesman confirmed. Stuart, 72, who considers himself a "sovereign citizen" not bound by U.S. tax law, was indicted and convicted in 2012 of tax evasion in the Eastern District of Wisconsin. He was sentenced to 33 months in prison, $6,000 in fines and three years of probation. He was arrested, with the assistance of the Delafield Police Department, at his home in the 2400 block of Hirschman Lane.  Federal court records indicate that a magistrate judge issued an order July 25 committing Stuart to the mars

PORTLAND, [OR]--Angela Roman, a legislative aide to Rep. Mike Nearman, R-Independence, pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor weapons charge last week and served four days in jail for the offense, according to her lawyer. She also paid a $100 fine, was required to let authorities keep the gun involved in the incident and is serving 18 months probation, records show. Roman, 37, made an illegal gun transfer when she lent her Ruger pistol to an acquaintance, Matthew Heagy, according to court records. As a convicted felon, Heagy, 31, cannot possess guns. Roman's attorney, Mark Brownlee, said Heagy and Roman are both members of Oregon Three Percenters, a wing of the anti-government militia movement that

PORTLAND, [OR]--The girlfriend of an accused killer with ties to white supremacy groups provided him with 9 different weapons in the months before 3 people were shot in the head at a home in Woodland, a new federal indictment claims.
