LAS VEGAS, [NV]--Afshin Bahrampour is facing multiple counts of arson in connection with the fires Monday at the Chabad Center of Southern Nevada. The synagogue is located on Arville Street near Charleston Boulevard. Metro says this isn't his first run-in with the law. Bahrampour is no stranger to the court system because last year he was convicted of attempted arson. Court records state he set fire to a trash can in Clark County. He was sentenced to 90 days in jail. Bahrampour is also a registered sex offender out of Oregon where he was convicted on two counts of sodomy from a case involving a then 13-year-old girl. The incident happened in the mid 90's. Court documents revealed Bahrampour has also filed many lawsuits, including cases against the United States, Barack Obama, the CIA, and much more. Last month, one of the lawsuits was dismissed, finding his claims that "various government agencies have conspired to monitor and steal American citizens' brain waves through various programs like 'neural remote monitoring'," clearly baseless. View More>>
