WEST CHESTER, [OH]--White powder delivered to an Islamic center in West Chester is not hazardous, fire officials said Tuesday. Hazardous materials crews investigated an envelope that was sent to the Islamic Center of Greater Cincinnati, in the 8000 block of Plantation Drive. They were dispatched at about 11:25 a.m., and a large crew remained on the scene for several hours. Investigators said the envelope also contained a written threat. Officials said that they did not evacuate the center. As a precaution, four employees were placed in isolation, and about 15 children attending a youth basketball camp were contained to one room. A criminal investigation is ongoing. View More>>
