The Oath Keepers portrays itself as an innocent, civic-minded organization catering to current and former members of the military and law enforcement. Their name is taken from the "Oath of Office" that each of them took as public servants. They are not terrorists. And, contrary to popular belief, they are not a militia group. The Oath Keepers organization can be described, however, as an extremist group because they embrace antigovernment conspiracy theories, such as FEMA detention camps, the existence of a New World Order, and impending Obama gun raids. They are not a traditional threat such as organized crime, violent gangs or terrorist groups. Rather, they represent an internal operational security and counterintelligence concern.

The Oath Keepers' mission appears to endorse subverting the U.S. Government through disobeying perceived "unlawful" orders, monitoring of law enforcement, military and intelligence communications and, if necessary, unauthorized disclosure of sensitive information to their membership, affiliated groups and the general public. [Note: Past references on this website to the Oath Keepers being a "threat" or "dangerous" have been removed due to a lack of recent reporting validating such descriptions. There have been no known arrests of Oath Keepers for weapons violations, threats or other criminal activity since 2011].

  1. The misinformation you present here is stunning! Totally contrary to the facts. As the NDAA is passed, there is a direct threat to the people from the government. Not the opposite! You are doing nothing here but setting the pieces in play for a gestapo/stazzi police state the keeps the order through fear and intimidation. You appear to be in position to profit from it as well. That right there disqualifies you from any honest objective assessment of any organization. Your job security depends on fear and perpetual war and now the Govt. is bringing it to the homeland. The American people will NOT stand for this. The Constitution is the supreme law of the land, not the unconstitutional laws like the NDAA. The crooked individuals in the federal government that voted for the NDAA just broke their oath of office to protect and defend the Constitution. The facts will speak for themselves without your “Ministry of Truth” distortions and lies.
